Kane and England, Haaland and Norway to square off in South Florida World Cup quarterfinal

Miami’s World Cup quarterfinal opponents are set, and they feature two of the best strikers in the world.
England and Norway will face off at Miami Stadium (typically known as Hard Rock Stadium) at 5 p.m. ET on July 11.
Norway punched its ticket to the quarterfinals with a win over Brazil on Sunday evening. England secured its place with a thrilling victory over host Mexico on Sunday night.
England is ranked fourth in the world in FIFA’s international rankings. Norway is ranked 19th.
Both teams have strikers who have been among the best players in the tournament. Norway’s Erling Haaland, a star for Manchester City, has seven goals in the tournament, which is tied with Argentina’s Lionel Messi and France’s Kylian Mbappe for the most in the World Cup. England features Harry Kane, whose penalty against Mexico was the decisive goal. Kane, a standout for Bayern Munich, has six goals in the World Cup.
“It was a crazy game,” Kane said on the Fox broadcast after the match against Mexico.
Miami featured one of the best games of the tournament so far; Argentina needed extra time to beat World Cup Cinderella Cape Verde in the round of 32 on Friday.
