The most intriguing camp battle on defense this year
Chiefs fans who voted leaned towards the Nickel position, the primary slot defender, as the most intriguing battle among the defensive positions coming up at training camp in St. Joe. There are a lot of names to think about for the spot, whether it’s veterans like Kader Kohou and L’Jarius Sneed or a rookie, Jadon Canady.
It wasn’t a majority of those polled, speaking to the number of battles to consider on the defensive side of the ball.
The defensive end position opposite George Karlaftis came in a close second. Second-year player Ashton Gillotte has the experience, but can rookie R Mason Thomas play a bigger role than anticipated? Could fourth-year defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah be a pleasant surprise? We’re close to finding out those answers.
