Jack Bauer, a left-hander for the Bulldogs, is a key pitcher in the bullpen who is capable of throwing 103 mph. He’s also named after Jack Bauer from the TV show “24.”
No. 14 Mississippi State (43-17) is facing No. 3 Georgia (49-12) in the NCAA Tournament Athens Super Regional, where Bauer is expected to pitch at some point as a reliever. The winner of the three-game series will advance to the College World Series.
