Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Kansas City Chiefs fans. You can see all of the recent survey results here.

The most important position coaches

Nearly half of the polled Chiefs fans say first-year wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea is the most important position coach on the team’s staff among the four options.

It speaks to the difference in experience between O’Shea and his predecessor, Connor Embree. O’Shea has been the head of an NFL receiver’s room, if not an offensive coordinator, for every football season since 2007. Embree’s only three seasons on the job were spent in Kansas City.

On a team that has so much invested in the quarterback, tight end and running back, it’s vital that the coaching staff makes a difference at the receiver position, developing talent into consistent playmaking. It’s a key reason O’Shea is already highly regarded among Chiefs fans, despite there being no results from his coaching to draw on yet.
