How to win tickets to the Knicks ceremony at City Hall

The Knicks parade is almost here – and you have the chance to attend the City Hall ceremony honoring the team.

Last night, Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that a lottery would be opened for just a few hours, and New Yorkers could enter to win tickets for the event.

Here’s how to enter.

Knicks ceremony details

Mamdani announced Tuesday night that 600 tickets would be released for the Knicks ceremony, taking place right after the ticker-tape parade.

The ceremony will begin at 12 p.m. in City Hall Plaza, where the team is expected to receive keys to the city.

Musical performances and speeches will take place, too.

“From packed watch parties in our parks to joyous celebrations that spilled out onto our streets, this championship belongs to New York City,” Mamdani said in a release.

“We’re making these tickets free and accessible – so working-class people have a chance to be part of this historic moment and celebrate the team that brought a championship home.”

A short deadline was given to those who want to put their name in for tickets.

New Yorkers can apply for the lottery atKnicks.com/CeremonySweeps, and submissions will be closed on Wednesday, June 17 at 11 a.m.

Submissions will be randomly selected, and if chosen, the winner will receive two tickets to the ceremony.

Winners are expected to be notified the same day, June 17, and tickets will be transferred to the Ticketmaster account under the same email used in the submission, the website says. They will not be able to be transferred.
