How has Seahawks QB Sam Darnold done against the Arizona Cardinals?

The Arizona Cardinals will face the Seattle Seahawks twice in 2026, as they are division rivals. They face Seattle at home in Week 2 and in Seattle in Week 9.
The Seahawks’ starting quarterback entering this season is Sam Darnold, who led them to a Super Bowl win.
How has Darnold done in his career against the Cardinals?

Darnold has never lost against the Cardinals. In five games he has faced them, he is 5-0. He has completed 70.8% of his passes for 675 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He has been sacked nine times.
Now, he has only started three times against the Cardinals.
In 2022, he played at the end of two blowout wins with the San Francisco 49ers, as he was their backup quarterback. In one game, he played one snap. It was a kneeldown. In the other, he played 10 snaps, completing two passes for 10 yards and kneeling down twice.
Here are his three starts:
- In 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings, he beat the Cardinals 23-22, throwing a game-winning touchdown pass with 1:13 left in the game. He was 21-for-31 passing for 235 yards and two touchdowns.
- In 2025, in the first of two starts for the Seahawks, he completed 18-of-26 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown. He led the Seahawks on a game-winning drive that ended in a Jason Myers field goal as time expired in a 23-20 win.
- In the second of two starts, the Seahawks demolished the Cardinals 44-22. He only attempted 12 passes, completing 10 of them for 178 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Can the Cardinals beat Darnold for the first time ever this year? We will see.
