How Austin Reaves’ brother reacted to LA Lakers star’s promise to start a college fund for his niece

Starting next season, Austin Reaves is no longer an underrated player, but he is one of the highest-paid guards in the NBA.
Over the last five seasons, Austin Reaves had been on team-friendly deals for the Los Angeles Lakers. But he has now been paid for his efforts.
After all, the Lakers signed him to a four-year, $185 million maximum contract, as Reaves’ average annual salary has jumped to $46.25 million.
But that doesn’t mean that the Lakers star has suddenly started spending money like crazy; if anything Reaves is still the same person.
Spencer Reaves loves how Austin Reaves accepted a dollar
Throughout the offseason, Reaves has been spotted at multiple golf courses as he is truly passionate about the sport.
Reaves was once again spotted on a golf course by an NBA fan, and he was offered a dollar. One would think that a millionaire like Reaves would ignore the offer, right?
“I’ll put this in my niece’s college fund,” Reaves said while accepting the $1 from the fan.
The Lakers star was obviously joking, but the viral clip reached his brother, Spencer Reaves, who absolutely loved this interaction.
“I’m loving hearing this news,” Spencer wrote on X.
Unlike his brother, Spencer failed to reach the NBA and plays overseas. Most recently, he averaged 14.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in the German Basketball League.
