After making a blockbuster deal to land Giannis Antetokounmpo, there have been a lot of talks about the Miami Heat potentially bringing back LeBron James.

James, who is a free agent once again, isn’t the same player he was during his first stint in Miami, but he’s still a very good player and someone Miami could use on both sides of the basketball court.

While a reunion has seemed possible and could still happen, a recent report from James’ longtime insider suggests the Cleveland Cavaliers are the heavy favorites.

“The same seems to be taking place this offseason. Teams pitching James have reported mostly one-way communication. James’ recent walk down memory lane with his 2016 Cavs teammates and spending extra time in Akron this summer have definitely contributed to the notion that he might be leaning toward a return home to Cleveland. Naturally, teams hoping to secure James’ services have noticed,” Brian Windhorst wrote.

It’s not surprising at all to hear that James wants to end his career where it started, especially in a place where he grew up. He’s constantly shown love to Cleveland, and frankly, it would be awesome to see him go back to a place that truly appreciates him. The same can be said for Miami, however, which makes the Heat part a bit interesting.
