Mountain View (Lawrenceville, Georgia) 2028 safety Isaiah Reeves has garnered a lot of interest from Power Four programs over the past year, including the Florida Gators, who extended an offer to him last month.
The 6-foot-0.5-inch, 185-pound class of 2028 defensive back recently named his top programs, telling 247Sports that Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, NC State, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech are the 10 schools he’s focusing on. A few days later, Reeves named a hypothetical top five, including Florida.
“Florida would be in my top five,” Reeves said to Gators Online. “In no particular order, my top five are Georgia, Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss. I will definitely be back in Gainesville for a game.”
Reeves made a summer trip to Gainesville with plans to return this fall on Oct. 10 for the South Carolina game. He’s already developed some bonds with the Gators’ new coaching staff. Safety coach Chris Collins is his main recruiter and helped land Reeves’ 7-on-7 teammate, cornerback Aamaury Fountain.
“(Fountain) told me a lot about (Collins) and how he helped recruit him,” Reeves said. “I feel like he could really develop me. When I went up to camp 2-3 weeks ago, he talked to me about how he can improve me as a player.”
In addition to Collins, nickelbacks coach Day’one Wilkins has built a good relationship with Reeves, despite being an unknown coach to the recruit before June 15. Florida sees Reeves as versatile enough to play safety and nickel (STAR).
Georgia was the first team to show interest in him, bringing him to campus a few times in 2025 before offering him in June 2026. His twin brother, Elijah, is committed to Georgia Tech as a wide receiver. Syracuse was the first Power Four to offer him. Right now, Reeves says that Georgia Tech and Florida are the two schools “doing the best job” of recruiting him.
Recruiting Summary
Rivals is the only recruiting service to rank Reeves. He’s a three-star recruit, ranked No. 42 among safeties. The Rivals industry consensus, which considers the rankings — or lack thereof — from 247Sports and ESPN, puts Reeves at No. 632 nationally and No. 56 at his position.
The Rivals Prediction Machine puts Georgia at the top of his recruitment, with the Bulldogs having a 36% chance to land him. Georgia Tech (21.8%), Virginia Tech (10.2%) and Syracuse (8.5%) round out the top four. Florida is tied with nine other programs for a share of fifth, with 1.4% odds.
