The Detroit Red Wings announced promotional giveaways and theme games for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday.
Some fans, of course, circled dates on their calendars, while others had fun at the team’s expense on the Red Wings’ Facebook page.
Here’s a sampling of the punchlines with Detroit facing the possibility of 11 straight years out of the playoffs:

▶ Break the 10-year drought night?
▶ Can we have a “let’s win a game” theme night?
▶ Pick a new Captain night?
▶ How about “sell the team” night?

Single-game tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 4 for the team’s 101st season after the centennial season last year.
