Dylan Harper is only a 20-year-old rookie, but he has been one of the best players on the San Antonio Spurs. Despite his age, he has also been quite a mature player, which has helped him become such a massive contributor.

The Spurs rely on him to make the big plays, including isolation plays against some of the league’s best defenders. Now that they are headed back to San Antonio with a 3-1 deficit, they are motivated to perform. This includes Harper, who wants to be the difference for his team.

The New York Knicks definitely have the advantage now after the successful 29-point comeback in Game 4. They also have the more experienced players on the roster because the Spurs most consist of younger players like Harper, Victor Wembanyama, and Stephon Castle.

Since they are still a young team, the inexperience is becoming a problem for the Spurs. Head coach Mitch Johnson is also included in that, as he is still a young coach, especially when compared to Mike Brown.

Harper has been one of the steadiest players on the Spurs roster, which can be heard in how he conducts himself in interviews. After Game 4, he seems ready to bounce back, and his teammates will feed off of his hunger.

“A whole new fire, I feel like, is ignited in me, in a sense that we gave that game away. And if we’re going to lose, we’re not going out like that. We’re going to put up a fight. We’re going to keep swinging,” Harper said after Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

That is the right approach to have in the NBA Finals. The odds are against them now, but the Spurs are well known for surprising people, and that is what they intend to do moving forward.
