UConn head coach Dan Hurley was among the spectators at the White House this past weekend for the UFC Freedom 250. While in attendance, he was recognized in the crowd and approached by a TMZ reporter.
The reporter asked Hurley about a possible college basketball game at the White House in the future. Upon hearing the question, Hurley smiled, indicating his interest in coaching if UConn were involved, saying, “That would be good, man. I think UConn should definitely be in it. Maybe UConn versus Duke.”
With many previous United States presidents expressing a love for basketball, like 44th President Barack Obama, perhaps Scheyer and Hurley could meet once again on what would become the biggest stage for a game in the history of collegiate basketball.
