Dak Prescott weighs in on 'George Pickens,' Dallas Cowboys roster

One thing that’s been missing from the Dallas Cowboys’ offseason is Dak Prescott chiming in on George Pickens, so, right on cue, the Cowboys’ official website remedied that in an interview with the star quarterback.
Not surprisingly, Prescott didn’t stir up much and he sure does love George. Former Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is not in love with the idea of Aaron Darnold coming out of retirement, but one NFL Insider thinks that’s going to happen.
And we’re coming up on the release date of the third season of the Netflix series on the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Here is Dallas’ day.
Dak Prescott George Pickens
DallasCowboys.com caught up with quarterback Dak Prescott for an interview about the start of OTAs, and inevitably, the status of receiver George Pickens came up.
Pickens, as expected, missed voluntary OTAs, but is expected to be at the voluntary minicamp on June 16. Prescott pointed out that even if Pickens shows up at the facility, he may not be doing much.
“I haven’t had any conversations, and to be honest, would love for him to be in, but even if he’s in, I doubt it’s a full, he’s going full go, jumping in the team,” Prescott told DallasCowboys.com. “I would hope not to be honest, just being protected and being smart. Just hope he gets in just to see some of the new guys, meet some of the new guys. I’m sure he’ll be here.”
He also said he had two throwing sessions with Pickens in “March or April.”
“They were great,” Prescott said of the throwing sessions with Pickens. “George is George. He’s great, he’s awesome. The personality, excitement, his energy was consistent, consistent as it’s been those times that I got to throw with him.
“Just even communicating with him through phone as we have these last couple of weeks, George is great. I’m excited about where he’s going to be. I’m excited about when he gets in and the work that we’re going to have to build off of. George is George, and he’s fine.”
Dallas Cowboys training camp 2026
The Dallas Cowboys 2026 training camp will be at the River Ridge Playing Fields in Oxnard, Calif. in late July. An exact start date has not been determined but the camp is expected to last around four weeks and conclude on Aug. 21 before the team heads to Arizona for its second preseason game.
America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
The third season of the Netflix reality series about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders drops on June 16, with all seven episodes premiering. Per Netflix, the series follows the squad from early auditions to game-day stadium performances.

Aaron Donald
The former Los Angeles Rams star rusher Aaron Donald has been retired since 2023, but has floated the idea of a return after the Rams acquired Myles Garrett on a June 1 trade with Cleveland.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter thinks that is going to happen. He said on his podcast, the Adam Schefter Report: “Everybody is acknowledging that it is a possibility. And the fact that it is even a possibility in June tells me that I think there’s every possibility it will become more real in July.
“I think, if and when they present a plan to him as to how he would be used, I think it’s more likely than not that he’ll be back.”
Former Cowboys great Michael Irvin, though, is not on board. On his YouTube channel, he said, “People talking about Aaron Donald thinking about coming back, and we know that’s not real. We just know that’s not real because I would expect the NFL to step in and stop that. You cannot allow Aaron Donald. I don’t care if he’s been off for a few years. I don’t care what you think. You can’t allow Aaron Donald.”
Presumably he was kidding since the NFL can’t actually bar Donald from returning, but goes to show Los Angeles would be an even bigger favorite than they are now to win the Super Bowl.
