In anticipation for the release of the annual Madden NFL video game, EA Sports has released their rookie ratings. Top-ten pick Spencer Fano has received incredibly high marks, but the rookie class as a whole were honored with admirable rookie ratings.
Looking to follow in the footsteps of a productive rookie class from a year ago, this year’s class will be looking to make a mark of their own. EA Sports clearly thinks they have a strong chance to surpass the class from a year ago. So, where do they fall in ratings on Madden NFL 27?
Let’s take a look:
Looking at the Browns‘ rookie Madden ratings
The first rounders, left tackle Spencer Fano and wide receiver KC Concepcion, landed with 79 overalls and 75 overalls, respectively. Fano’s mark as a 79 overall lands him tied for fifth in terms of the highest-rated rookies in the annual video game. He is the highest-graded rookie offensive lineman in the game.

The second rounders were not far behind. In fact, Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren landed an equal rating to Concepcion, also getting tabbed with a 75 overall rating. Wide receiver Denzel Boston is not far behind with a 74 overall rating, and third round offensive tackle Austin Barber landed with a 72 overall rating.
None of the Day 3 picks cracked 70 overall, however. Center Parker Brailsford and linebacker Justin Jefferson both landed with a 67 overall, tight end Joe Royer is slated with a 66 overall, quarterback Taylen Green sits with a 65 overall, and tight end Carsen Ryan was given a 62 overall.
The most fun part of the game is to see how these rookies progress and how the video game adjusts their ratings as the season goes along. Could we see some massive rises in their ratings with early and significant playing time?
