Browns 2026 season: Which of 2 non-winning directions do fans want to see things go?

The Cleveland Browns are entering a pivotal season that could significantly shape the franchise’s future. The team likely wants to be in a good position to select a quarterback in the early first round of the 2027 NFL Draft, unless they pick QB Brendan Sorsby in the Supplemental Draft. Even then, they might be on the lookout for one high in the 2027 draft.
With the Myles Garrett trade, the Browns now have two first-round picks in this draft, so they have the resources to trade up if they need to.
The current state of the team is filled with uncertainty. They are a young team with a roster that has experienced several major changes in the last year. The Browns’ top priority is developing their young talent while positioning themselves to acquire key assets that can strengthen the franchise for the future.
This is why finishing the season at 8-9 may actually be the worst-case scenario for this team. It leaves them in a less favorable draft position to select their quarterback of the future. Although this scenario may provide a more entertaining season for fans, it would likely come at the expense of getting the draft position necessary to secure the organization’s future success.
On the other hand, the young roster experiencing losing season(s) can be a bad place to start a new foundation.
Let me know what you think in the comments – Would you rather finish the season 8-9 or bottom out?
