Broncos roster: OL Nick Gargiulo (No. 66) returning from injury

Broncos Wire‘s 91-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at third-year offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo, No. 66.
Before the Broncos: Gargiulo (6-5, 310 pounds) started his college football career at Yale (2018-2022) before transferring to South Carolina for a sixth and final year (he did not play in 2020 due to COVID-19). He began his final college season as a left guard before moving to center. Gargiulo served as a team captain for the Gamecocks and was named a third-team All-SEC lineman following the 2023 season. He then entered the NFL draft as a versatile lineman with experience at center, left tackle and left guard.
Broncos tenure: Gargiulo was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round (256th overall) of the 2024 NFL draft, presumably to be a long-term replacement for a member of the offensive line. Gargiulo spent his rookie season in 2024 on the practice squad. In 2025, Gargiulo was thought to take a step forward, but unfortunately, he suffered a gruesome leg injury in a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals, which sidelined him the entire year.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Toss-up. Gargiulo is still recovering from the 2025 injury, and did not participate in any spring offseason activities. Gargiulo might end up competing for a practice squad this summer because Denver is deep on the offensive line.
