Broncos host UFL cornerback/returner for workout

The Denver Broncos brought in a United Football League cornerback and kick returner for a workout on Thursday, according to KPRC-TV’s Aaron Wilson.
Denver hosted St. Louis Battlehawks defensive back Sean Fresch (5-8, 173 pounds). The 24-year old cornerback out of Rice totaled 29 tackles, four pass breakups and two sacks in the 2026 UFL spring season (10 games).
Fresch also returned 32 punts for 333 yards and three kickoffs for 85 yards. His longest punt return of the UFL season was 50 yards.
Last year, Fresch played in two UFL games, totaling two punt returns for 31 yards and three kickoffs for 46 yards. He also recorded 12 tackles and broke up one pass in 2025.
If signed, Fresch would join a cornerback room that already includes Pat Surtain, Riley Moss, Ja’Quan McMillian, Jahdae Barron, Kris Abrams-Draine, Reese Taylor, Jaden Robinson and undrafted additions Brent Austin, Ahmari Harvey and Paul Manning.
Denver is expected to host at least two other UFL players for workouts. The team’s 91-man offseason roster is full, so if the Broncos sign any UFL players, they will need to make corresponding moves to make room.
