In the off chance that you happen to be a fan of the infamous Miami Heat introductory press conference featuring LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, there’s some bad news. While James went viral for his “not one, not two, not three…” championship declaration back in 2010, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst sounds deadset on one thing about his 2026 free agency decision—it won’t include anything like that, at all.
While speaking with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s First Take, Windhorst was adamant that there will be no introductory press conference, stating that LeBron is “done” with them.
“There’s not going to be an introductory press conference,” Windhorst said. “You don’t have to get it ready. After ‘not 5, not 6, not 7’ LeBron is done with introductory press conferences … If he does one it’ll be on his platforms and not an open thing that you’re gonna have… I promise you, I promise you, I swear, to all the people out there… I am talking to players, teams involved, talking to owners, I’m talking to everybody in the league all day long. Nobody knows.”

On a positive note, for those who were far from fans of the “Big 3” and their over-the-top introductory presser, I guess this would be good news. Regardless, Windhorst was also very clear that no one has any idea where James is going, only adding to the ongoing free agency drama.
