Bills' James Cook lays out where his focus is this season

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is already well established in the NFL.

Cook signed a long-term extension last offseason and followed that up in a big way. Cook led the NFL with 1,621 rushing yards last season.

Any doubters are long gone.

But Cook still admitted he is focusing on a few things in particular heading into the 2026 season.

Cook made his spring practice debut this week at minicamp after sitting out OTAs. Those workouts are not mandatory and Buffalo head coach Joe Brady said he was not concerned about that, stating he was in contact with Cook throughout OTAs.

At minicamp Cook mentioned both personal and team goals. For himself, he’s looking at shoring up ball security as a rusher.

As a team, it’s all about the big one.

“Bring a Super Bowl here. That’s what I’m trying to do,” Cook said.
