FSU softball lands ASUN Player of the Year Nicole Edmiaston in portal

Florida State softball has landed a power bat in the NCAA transfer portal, earning a commitment from ASUN Player of the Year Nicole Edmiaston.
The former Stetson Hatter is a power hitter who hit 23 home runs and knocked in 70 RBI on 77 hits in 170 at-bats. She played a key role for Stetson in the Tallahassee Regional, and she hit a home run against the Seminoles while going 2-for-8 and walking once, while playing first base in both games against FSU.
It’s the first commitment for a softball program that lost two key pieces in Isa Torres and Jaysoni Beachum to the transfer portal. Edmiaston will provide a power surge for the Seminoles program that needed more pop at the plate last season.
FSU finished the season 52-10 and lost in a winner-take-all game seven against UCF in the final of the Tallahassee Regional.
The Seminoles will remain active in the transfer portal as roster construction continues for the 2027 season.
