Sixers rising star VJ Edgecombe gives his all-time starting lineup

Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe just finished up a highly productive rookie season in which he averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while being named to the All-Rookie First Team. He is on his way to being one of the better players in the league as long as he continues his current trajectory.

Edgecombe is a basketball junkie as he watches a ton of older NBA games and highlights on YouTube and has a clear understanding of the game. He plays with a ton of poise at only 20 years old and will be looking to continue building at this stage of his young career.

In an interview with HoopsHype while in Italy, Edgecombe gave his all-time NBA starting lineup:

At the 1, Steph Curry. The 2, I’m gonna go Mike [Jordan]. Yeah, the 2, I’m gonna go Michael Jordan. At the 3, I’m gonna go LeBron. At the 4, Kevin Durant. At the 5, I’m gonna go with Shaquille O’Neal. Someone who can dominate the paint, but can help. You can’t really help because you got shooters. You know what I’m saying?

That is a strong starting lineup as there aren’t many weaknesses that teams could attack. Curry is the best shooter the game has ever seen, Jordan is one of the most lethal scorers this game has seen, James is James, Durant does it all, and O’Neal is a top 5 big man of all time. Edgecombe knows his stuff.
