Rae Burrell overcomes injury scare to help the Los Angeles Sparks

Seeing Rae Burrell back on the court was great news for the Los Angeles Sparks, as she seemingly suffered an injury and was down under the basket during their 79-69 defeat against the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday.

Burrell, who was fresh from her best game of the season, dropping a career-high 22 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field, needed help from her teammates to leave the court at the time. But after Thursday’s practice, the Los Angeles Sparks confirmed that the 25-year-old guard didn’t suffer any major injury.

Besides Burrell, the Sparks also received good news that Kelsey Plum was available for their game against the Dallas Wings after missing the past three contests due to an ankle injury.

Unfortunately for the Sparks, they have now lost three in a row, following their 104-96 defeat against the Dallas Wings. In her injury return, Plum produced 27 points and six assists on 10-for-16 shooting from the field in 33 minutes in the losing effort.

As for Burrell, she only had three points, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals on 1-for-5 shooting from the field in 18 minutes off the bench.
