The Carolina Panthers officially announced five team captains for the 2026 season on Thursday evening.
As voted on by the players, the group includes quarterback Bryce Young, running back Chuba Hubbard, defensive lineman Derrick Brown, inside linebacker Devin Lloyd and long snapper JJ Jansen.
Young and Jansen have both been named team captains for the fourth time in their careers. They now join Christian McCaffrey, Charles Johnson, John Kasay and current president of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan as four-time team captains for the organization.
Derrick Brown is now in his third tenure as a team captain for Carolina. He previously received the honor in 2024 and 2025.
Hubbard and Lloyd will be team captains for the first time in their NFL careers. Lloyd is in his first season with the Panthers, who signed him to a three-year, $42 million pact this past spring.
