Kelsey Mitchell breaks A'ja Wilson's WNBA record with 21st straight 20-point game

In the midst of a historic season, Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell has broken Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson’s record for the longest streak of 20-point games.
Mitchell accomplished the feat with 4.4 seconds remaining in the second quarter of the Fever’s game against the Dallas Wings on Aug. 20 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
It was her 21st consecutive game with at least 20 points for the WNBA record. Wilson, the league’s only four-time MVP, held league’s previous all-time record with 20 games between the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Wilson’s streak began Aug. 28, 2023 vs. the New York Liberty. Between the final five games of the 2023 schedule and the first 15 of the Aces 2024 campaign, Wilson averaged 28.2 points. She won the league MVP award at the end of the 2024 season.
Mitchell has done this all within a single season, averaging 26.8 points over the last 20 and one half games. She began her streak on June 22, when she recorded 22 points in an 86-77 win over the Phoenix Mercury.
Before Wilson, the previous record for consecutive 20-point games was 13, set by Phoenix Mercury legend Diana Taurasi between the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Taurasi, who retired in 2025, is the league’s all-time leading scorer.
Mitchell and Clark spurred the Indiana Fever to five straight wins following ahead of their matchup with the Wings.
