The Atlanta Falcons signed running back Bijan Robinson to a three-year extension worth up to $75 million, including $51 million in guaranteed money, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday morning.
Robinson, the former No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, sat out for the first week of training camp but still showed up each day while the team worked on a new deal. And just like that, the Falcons have re-signed four core offensive players in Ian Cunningham’s first offseason as general manager.
Atlanta signed Drake London to a four-year, $141 million deal, Kyle Pitts to a three-year, $54 million deal, and left guard Matthew Bergeron to a four-year, $96 million contract extension over the last few months.
There was never any doubt about Robinson securing a new deal, but there was some uncertainty over when it would get done and just how much money he would get. Robinson’s contract makes him the highest-paid running back in the NFL, and he has the production to match.
The former Texas Longhorns star has rushed for 3,910 yards and 25 touchdowns, while adding 198 catches for 1,738 receiving yards and another nine scores over his first three NFL seasons.
Falcons fans were happy to see Robinson land his new contract, with some even praising his agent for getting the deal done.
