Nine Spartans featured in NHL's top 100 prospects list

Michigan State hockey is turning into one of the nation’s best programs, and with that, has come some outstanding development towards the NHL. The Spartans have been featured heavily in prospect pools and recent NHL Entry Drafts, making the program one of the nation’s premier development spots.
With the conclusion of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, free agency dust settling, and the calendar flipping over for the NHL season, The Athletic’s Scott Wheeler has released his top 100 NHL prospects list. The Spartans were featured nine times on the list.

- 44 – Ryker Lee
- 52 – Nikita Klepov
- 86 – Cullen Potter
- 88 – Tommy Bleyl
- 94 – Charlie Stramel
- 99 – Isaac Howard
With so many Spartans being recognized, it shows the quality of program Adam Nightingale is putting together in East Lansing.
