Real Madrid have sold academy player Víctor Valdepeñas to Fiorentina for €8 million, according to reports published in the Spanish press. Valdepeñas will sign a five-year deal with the Italian club and Real Madrid will keep 50% of his rights and an option to bring him back in the future, as per usual.
It’s been a profitable transfer window for Real Madrid, who have sold eight total players for €138 million. Nico Paz, Víctor Muñoz, Álvaro Rodríguez, Mario Gila, Álex Jiménez, Mario Martín and now Víctor Valdepeñas have all left the club and those €138 million would allow Real Madrid to improve their roster, although as things stand right now it looks like Los Blancos will likely stay put in the rest of the transfer window.
