How much Manchester United earned from Mason Greenwood’s transfer to Fenerbahce

Turkish club Fenerbahce have signed Mason Greenwood from Marseille in a deal worth €39 million plus bonuses.
Manchester United are set to receive a significant percentage of the transfer fee, having agreed a sell-on clause when the 24-year-old joined Marseille in 2024 for €31.6m.
According to The Athletic, United are expected to receive around €13m from the English forward’s latest transfer.
Greenwood was among the brightest prospects to have emerged from the Man United academy.
He made over 120 appearances for the Red Devils after earning his competitive debut in March 2019.
However, his career suffered a huge blow after being charged with attempted rape and assault in 2022.
Greenwood denied any wrongdoing and was subsequently cleared of all charges.
But United ruled out his return to the club after major public criticism, and sent him on loan to Getafe for the 2023-24 season.
He impressed with his performances during his short spell in Spain, scoring 10 goals in 36 appearances.
Greenwood landed a move to Marseille in the following summer and made 81 senior appearances for the Ligue 1 club, with 48 goals and 17 assists to his name.
He has not played for England since his debut for the senior side in September 2020 as an 18-year-old.
