Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: OL Isaac Seumalo

The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.
Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2025, questions they face and their roster outlook.
Here is offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo.
Isaac Seumalo background, 2025 season
Seumalo is 32 years old, enters his 11th NFL season and his first with the Cardinals. He was their biggest free agent acquisition.
He was a third-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 and played for them for seven seasons, starting 60 games.
He played the last three years for the Pittsburgh Steelers as their starting left guard, and he made the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2024. Last season, he played in 14 games for the Steelers.
Isaac Seumalo contract details, salary cap hit
Seumalo signed a three-year deal with the Cardinals worth $31.4 million. He received an $8.5 million signing bonus and will earn a fully guaranteed $3.5 million in salary in 2026. He will count almost $6.9 milllion against the salary cap.
Roster outlook, questions he faces
There is no question about his role in 2026. He will be the Cardinals’ starting left guard. He was their biggest addition in free agency, so they expect him to be good.
As for questions, can he stay healthy as he will turn 33 years old this season? He has missed seven games in the last two seasons. Can he maintain his level of play before age catches up with him? Will he bring stability and consistency to the left interior?
His presence, paired with Paris Johnson at left tackle, should establish a strong left side for Arizona.
