What can we expect from new Boston Celtics big man Mitchell Robinson? The Celtics used their full midlevel exception to sign the Knicks champ to a three-year, $47.4 million deal with a player option in third season as perhaps their biggest addition this 2026 NBA offseason, a move which some analysts praised as a brilliant basketball move from an analytical point of view, while cap nerds expressed some concern about the length and guarantees for a player who rarely plays more than 60 games in a season — and sometimes considerably less.
So what to expect, then? We can always look to his highlights to get a better idea of his play style and how it might mesh with Boston’s other big men. A top offensive rebounder and very good rim protector, he will undoubtedly boost the Celtics center rotation when he is able to suit up.
