Brizzi started his career at Villanova, participating in nine games as a redshirt freshman. He then played seasons at Davidson and Longwood before transferring to Buffalo, where he competed last season.
UNC lightly recruited him in fall 2019, and he visited Chapel Hill that September, watching a UNC football game with Caleb Love and Walker Kessler on official visits. Assistant Brad Frederick led his recruitment, but Brizzi committed to Villanova in July 2020.
