Taylor Gray signs contract extension with Joe Gibbs Racing

Taylor Gray isn’t going anywhere. Gray has signed a one-year contract extension to remain in the No. 54 car for Joe Gibbs Racing beyond the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Series season, as reported by Catchfence’s Lee Spencer. It will be the young driver’s third year with Joe Gibbs Racing in the O’Reilly Series.
After the O’Reilly Series race at Sonoma, Gray sits 12th in the point standings behind Brent Crews and ahead of William Sawalich. Gray has one win during the 2026 NASCAR season, but is still fighting for a spot in the Chase. However, he won’t be fighting for his seat at Joe Gibbs Racing.
Gray has seen some unfortunate luck, such as running out of gas while running in the top 5 spots at Sonoma. Joe Gibbs Racing has been impressed with Gray, earning another season with the organization. The hope is that a third season for Gray will give him even more success in the O’Reilly Series.
