Bengals might want to keep eye on AFC North rival's cut candidate

The Cincinnati Bengals have a few notable cut candidates of their own going into training camp.
But where the Bengals could still really be looking to add to the roster over the summer is by picking up players waived or cut from other clubs.
So, national analysis that looks at leaguewide cut candidates is pretty important.
Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay just provided a good example while explaining that Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen could be a major cut candidate soon.
“If Queen does hit free agency, he still offers plenty of upside as a 26-year-old, two-time Pro Bowler with first-round pedigree,” Kay wrote. “He also brings a wealth of experience, having started 101 games since entering the league in 2020, and could still push closer to his ceiling in a new program.”
Queen has been hit-or-miss as a run defender during his time with the Steelers, but things haven’t been great in Pittsburgh as of late, so perhaps a change of scenery and scheme would help.
At the end of the day, the Bengals didn’t add a veteran presence and leader to the linebacker room while going all-in on Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter. Queen fits that bill, wouldn’t be an outright threat to either of those guys and might want to join a contender on an affordable contract who can give him a shot at revenge games against his two former AFC North teams.
This wouldn’t be as attractive to fans as going to get a Bobby Wagner or similar in free agency, but it might be the sort of value buy the Bengals do, should Queen shake free. Bonus points for Queen being able to offer some sort of intel and being familiar on the field with two divisional rivals, too.
