Zach Lowe has doubts about the future of Jaylen Brown with the Boston Celtics

If you ask a dozen NBA analysts what they think will happen with star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown after the team’s failed attempt to trade for Milwaukee Bucks star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo, and you might get as many takes as to the specifics of the Georgia native’s future. But there appears to be a sizable subset of those analysts who increasingly believe that Brown will be suiting up for another ball club by the start of the 2026-27 NBA regular season.

And we can count among them Ringer podcast host and league analyst Zach Lowe among them. On a recent episode of his eponymous “Zach Lowe Show,” the esteemed analyst shared his point of view on the Brown situation.

“It feels like the toothpaste is too far out of the tube with Jaylen Brown,” said Lowe with regard to Celtics President of Basketball Operations President of Basketball Operations and company dangling the Cal alum for the Greek Freak.

“If you ask me right now,” said Lowe, “I don’t think Jaylen Brown starts the season with the Boston Celtics next year.”

“That could end up being wrong. I’m not saying that definitively, I’m saying if you made me bet, yes or no, is Jaylen Brown a Celtic next year, I’m betting no.”
