Tottenham Hotspur ready to meet Marcus Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wage demands

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to meet Marcus Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wage demands, according to the Sun. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have had the Manchester United forward on their radar in recent weeks, and a summer move could be on the cards. Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona and he does not have a future with the Red Devils from the look of things. Spurs are one of the clubs monitoring the situation of the England international and it appears they are ready to break the bank to agree personal terms with him.
Rashford’s current salary at Man United is £300,000 per week, but it will increase to £325,000-a-week next month due to the Red Devils’ return to the Champions League. Tottenham would meet his wage demands if he is keen on joining them, but nothing has been decided right now as he could prefer to move to a club where European football is available. His salary has been primarily paid by Barca and Aston Villa in the last 18 months through his loan spells. Man United believe it is fairer if their reigning player of the year, Bruno Fernandes, is their best-paid player following the departure of Casemiro.
It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils would be open to allowing the 28-year-old leave on loan again. Barca are open to such an arrangement, but Spurs could have a chance if Man United insist on a permanent deal.
