White Sox Reacts: What to do at the trade deadline?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Sox fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

This week, we’re approaching our Reacts survey as a real, bonafide major league team preparing to make a playoff run. Weird, huh?

Below are the obvious options to improve the club as it prepares to possibly play for a shot at the postseason for the first time in five years. Those four options are not exclusive, of course, but surely one need sticks out to you more than the rest.

However, it’s certain that trading for a rental player on an expiring contract, or certainly a younger player with more team control, will cost the White Sox some prospect capital. Even for a team with a system boasting a multitude of shortstop prospects, that might be a bridge too far for you, especially in what amounts to a “house money” season that no one expected the White Sox to be competitive in; in that case, you are probably voting to let the kids play and not compromise the system.
