Bears sign ex-Broncos wide receiver; Falcons cut ex-Denver defensive lineman

A pair of former Denver Broncos players appeared on the NFL’s transaction wire last week.
First, the Chicago Bears signed wide receiver Kaden Davis, a 27-year-old veteran who entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State with the Broncos in 2022. After failing to make the team’s 53-man roster, Davis spent part of his rookie season on Denver’s practice squad.
Davis then played for the Michigan Panthers of the USFL in the spring of the 2023 season before stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions. Davis returned to the Broncos in 2024 on the team’s practice squad. After that, he spent time with the Cleveland Browns before playing for the UFL’s Houston Gamblers this spring. Davis hauled in four receptions for 32 yards and returned 10 kickoffs for 275 yards in five games this spring.
Elsewhere on the ex-Bronco front, the Atlanta Falcons released defensive lineman Elijah Garcia. The 28-year-old defender played in Denver from 2022-2023, totaling five tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in five games.
