Brandin Podziemski reveals what Warriors are looking for with No. 11 pick

Former No. 19 overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft, Brandin Podziemski recently spoke to the Golden State media, highlighting what he expects the Warriors to look for with the No. 11 pick in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft.

“Someone that has experience and is physically mature enough to play in the games right away. I think that’s kind of where we’re at as an organization. We’re at the stage where we’re trying to win as much as we can. So I think with the 11th pick, you just got to look for a guy that’s ready to come in and make the impact right away,” said Podziemski.

Despite falling out of the lottery, Podziemski was able to do what he just described in his rookie season, averaging 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 0.8 steals off the bench to finish fifth in NBA Rookie of the Year voting.

Considering the Warriors hold their highest draft pick since 2021 (No. 7), Golden State will be optimistic to find a great prospect after extracting value from late-round picks like Will Richard, Quinten Post and Trayce Jackson-Davis in recent seasons.
