The Philadelphia Phillies‘ first game back from the All-Star Break needed its start time changed.

And the same is true for game two of this series against the New York Mets, which was originally scheduled for Saturday at 4:05 p.m.

Just like Thursday, the start time has now been moved up.

What time is the Phillies-Mets game today with change?

The Phillies and Mets are now scheduled for a 3:05 p.m. ET first pitch.

The time was moved up 60 minutes, with the announcement coming about 11:20 a.m. ET.

Why did Phillies-Mets change start time?

This isn’t about the air quality, at least.

Instead, it’s because inclement weather is on the way.

The Phillies are hoping that by moving the game up by about an hour, they have a chance to get the game played before the rain comes.

It’s always tricky business trying to move around to beat the storm, but it’s probably worth trying in hopes of avoiding a doubleheader later on between these teams.
