Troy baseball bounced back from losing its opener in the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, to slug its way to a 12-8 victory over Ole Miss in an elimination game on Sunday, June 14.

The Trojans (40-31), who swept Little Rock in a home super regional, will play again on Tuesday, Jun 16, at 1 p.m. CT vs the winner of Sunday evening’s game between West Virginia and North Carolina. West Virginia beat Troy 7-5 on Friday to send Troy to the losers bracket.

Troy beat Florida twice and also knocked off Miami to win the Gainesville (Florida) Regional to make it to the super regional round.

The Trojans will take on West Virginia, who swept Cal Poly to advance to the College World Series.
