Which RB prospect in the 2027 NFL Draft that would help the Vikings?

The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 10 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft in a class that many are saying could be one of generational wealth.

One thing that happens in the Summer is that analysts share players that could be targeted by various teams. In a recent profile of players to watch by position, ESPN’s Matt Miller talked about Georgia Tech running back Justice Haynes.

Miller writes, “The former Alabama and Michigan running back popped last season, rushing for 857 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Wolverines before having his season shortened by a foot injury. The 5-foot-11, 210-pounder has proven chops as a receiver, too, with 30 career receptions. Transferring to Georgia Tech will give Haynes the opportunity to be a featured back in a run-heavy offense. That’s a good fit and could help Haynes burst into the position’s top tier.”

Haynes is the son of former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Verron Haynes, so on top of all the talent and traits, the NFL bloodlines add something as well. The Vikings could be in the market for a running back, so keeping tabs on Haynes makes sense for them and the fan base.
