The Los Angeles Sparks will travel out to the Midwest to take on the Indiana Fever this weekend for an inter-conference matchup.
The Fever have been struggling after a pair of losses to the Dream last week, splitting a pair of games with the now 6-13 Mercury on Monday and Wednesday. Those setbacks have been compounded by the loss of Caitlin Clark, who left Wednesday’s game early with back and head injuries and will not play Saturday.
That leaves the likes of Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston to lead the way for Indiana against Los Angeles, which is also missing its top scorer with Kelsey Plum sidelined by a leg injury.
The Sparks are amongst the middle of the pack right now, sitting at ninth overall with an 8-8 record. Los Angeles recently pulled off an impressive win over a strong New York squad, with star Nneka Ogwumike sinking a 3-pointer at the buzzer to seal the deal, 98-97.
