Where is Ohio State hoops in Joe Lunardi's very early bracketology?

The NCAA basketball tournament is a big deal when March rolls around, but it’s never too early to try to look into the crystal ball to see what might transpire the next time all the March Madness hits a television screen or streaming device near you.
One of the best bracketologists out there is ESPN’s Joe Lunardi. In some ways, he was the pace car for all of the bracket projections, and he’s already up to his shenanigans of looking ahead in a way-too-early effort on what we might see when the brackets are released in the fall of 2027. We are, of course, mostly interested in where Ohio State lands, and we think you probably are too.
It must be noted that it’s awfully tough to try and figure all of this out at this point without a game even being played, but it’s still fun to talk about. The Ohio State basketball team will look very different from the one we saw last year, but some good pieces could come together to surprise some folks.
So where does Lunardi have the Buckeyes? He has them just off the bubble and in the field as a No. 9 seed and in the West Region facing No. 8 seed Missouri.
Yes the Brackets guru @ESPNLunardi has his new Bracketology report & @Coach MarkPope ‘s @KentuckyMBB r going uptown since scoring big in the transfer portal . @SEChttps://t.co/DeaPqhthGc

To be honest, it seems like that’s a little bit of a slight with what Ohio State has on the roster for next season, but it’s probably more a product of what we’ve seen from the Buckeyes over the last few seasons. We’ll keep an eye on these projections as more come out, but obviously they don’t mean much compared to what we’ll see when the season begins.
