Kaleb Elarms-Orr has made himself an early story at Buffalo Bills training camp thanks to his physical play. At one point that physical play went a little too far on Tuesday when he hit tight end Dalton Kincaid late and started a brawl, but teammates don’t seem to mind. For the most part.
Asked about the fight after practice, some of the offensive linemen expressed mixed feelings. On the one hand, it’s good that everyone is going hard. On the other hand, a rookie has to be careful with such an important veteran. And when he doesn’t, he has to learn a lesson.
Alec Anderson, who has appeared in 39 games for the Bills between the regular and postseason over his first two years, said it probably wasn’t the best decision to fight, but sometimes you have to.
“Well, I didn’t enjoy him hitting our guy after the whistle, but I enjoyed punching him in the face a couple times and choking him out so that’s always enjoyable.”

Spencer Brown added that you want to take care of veterans like Kincaid, but he didn’t mind “seeing a little piss and vinegar coming out of the rookies.”
There’s no video of the actual incident, but as usual, video has surfaced of a mass of bodies pushing and shoving in the aftermath.
Elarms-Orr, a fourth rounder out of TCU earned All-Big 12 honors last year as he totaled 130 tackles and four sacks. In 2023 he had 92 tackles, a sack and an interception at Cal. It should be noted he was not the only new player to mix it up on Tuesday. Rookie T.J. Parker, a second-round pick, also reportedly threw a punch during practice.
It seems the rookies in Buffalo aren’t taking any guff from the veterans and everyone is happy to be fighting so that’s going to be considered a good sign for now.
The Bills will play their first of three preseason games on August 15th. Just five more weeks until the regular season.
