Vote for the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for June 1-7

Millis baseball junior Brody Barrett was voted the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for May 26-31. He punched out 16 batters with no walks and allowed just four hits in a 3-2 win over No. 31 Gateway in the Division 5 preliminary round.
Barrett received 72.65 percent of the more than 8,500 votes. He beat out Algonquin’s Jack Wallace (23.61 percent).
Now we turn our attention to this week’s top performers and the nominees for the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for June 1-7:
Finn Bell, Wayland volleyball: Crushed 15 kills with 3 aces and 4 blocks in a 3-0 sweeep against No. 8 Longmeadow in the Division 2 quarterfinals. Put down 12 kills and five aces in a 3-0 win against No. 17 Greaer Lowell in the Division 2 Round of 16.
Max Boehm, Wellesley baseball:Struck out 10 and threw a two-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over No. 20 Waltham in the Division 1 Round of 32.
Brendan Dooley, Lincoln-Sudbury lacrosse: Put away six goals, including four in the first quarter, of an 18-3 win over No. 17 Wellesley in the Division 1 Round of 16.
Luke Dratch, Natick volleyball: Guided the No. 3 Redhawks back to the Division 1 Final Four with 55 assists in a 3-1 win over No. 6 Agawam, the defending Division 2 state champion. Also distributed 39 assists with two kills ina 3-0 win over No. 14 Barnstable in the Division 1 Round of 16.
Zach Forjette, Westborough tennis: Swept Dylan Vake 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, leading the No. 1 Rangers back to the Division 2 state semifinals with a 4-1 win over No. 8 Hingham. Prevailed 6-1, 6-0 over Charlie Walker tokey a 5-0 win over No. 16 Plymouth South in the Division 2 Round of 16.
Luis Franco, Marlborough volleyball: Had 40 assists in a 3-1 win against No. 10 Granby in the Division 2 Round of 16.
Thurston Kiefer, Natick baseball: Had 10 strikeouts and two RBIs in a 6-3 win over No. 24 Hopkinton in the Division 1 Round of 32.
Ryan McCormack, Wayland track & field: Won the pole vault at 14 feet, 6 inches Saturday at the Meet of Champions, setting a school record in the process. McCormack also placed fourth in the long jump.
Aidyn Sweeney, Nipmuc lacrosse: Turned away 16 shots in a 9-3 win over No. 19 Fairhaven in the Division 4 Round of 32.
JC Vivieca, Keefe Tech baseball: Drove in three decisive runs in an 8-5 upset over No. 5 Greenfield in the Division 5 Round of 16.
Brady Wajda, Hopedale baseball: Earned the win on the mound after a complete game and went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs at the plate in a 10-3 win over No. 8 Charlestown in the Division 5 Round of 16.
Cullen Wilson, Natick lacrosse: Made 12 saves in a 6-2 win over No. 22 Belmont in the Division 1 Round of 32.
