We’ve passed the midway point of the 2026 Iowa high school softball season and several teams from the Ames area are having a successful year.
Collins-Maxwell, Gilbert and Roland-Story all had winning records entering the week of June 14-20. Ames, Ballard and Nevada were all just below the .500 mark.
Along with those winning teams, there have been several tremendous individual performers from the area.
