USC Signs Huge Partnership with Nike

USC Athletics and Nike agreed on a 10-year extension of their all-sport partnership through 2036. USC athletic director Jennifer Cohen announced the extension on Tuesday.
“USC and Nike have grown together for more than 30 years, and we are thrilled to continue one of the great partnerships in college athletics,” said Cohen, per USC Athletics. “From the outset, these two iconic brands have made history, outfitted legends, and powered victories for generations of Trojan student-athletes, and for all we have accomplished together already, we are all the more excited for what’s to come. The impact of this extended partnership on our student-athletes, loyal fans, campus community, and the entire Trojan Family will be transformational, and we look forward to many more victories together in the years ahead.”
USC was one of the first collegiate programs to represent Nike back in the 1990s. As NIL continues to change the college sports, this extension offers a new NIL component for select student-athletes.
Women’s basketball superstar JuJu Watkins signed a lucrative multiyear contract extension with Nike in October 2024. The contract also gave Watkins one of the richest shoe endorsement deals in women’s basketball history.
A month later, teammate Jazzy Davidson also signed a multiyear NIL shoe deal with Nike before even starting her career at USC.
What Does the Partnership Include?
As part of the partnership, USC student-athletes will be included on Nike’s NIL roster. USC’s Blue Ribbon Elite class is an exclusive roster of Trojans and will be announced in the coming weeks.
Additionally, USC will be the first program in the nation given Nike Strength equipment for the Bloom Football Performance Center. The men’s and women’s basketball teams will also receive custom uniforms from Nike.
The final pieces of the partnership involve Nike refreshing the USC Bookstore and USC x Nike retail pop-ups.
