UNC football lands three-star linebacker

Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels football program just hosted its first big recruiting weekend of the summer. And it’s starting to pay off in terms of commitments for the 2027 class.
Over the past week, the Tar Heels have added a few recruits to the 2027 class with quarterback Noah Spinks being the latest on Monday. That is until today where the Tar Heels landed a three-star linebacker.
Zykee Scott announced his decision on Tuesday, officially committing to the Tar Heels. The decision comes just a few days after Scott officially visited the program over the weekend. He was offered by UNC back in September of 2025 and then visited earlier in April as well.
The Philadelphia native plays at La Salle College and is ranked No. 554 overall, No. 43 linebacker and the No. 16 player in the state per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
UNC now has eight commitments in the 2027 class with Scott being graded the highest at 88.
