“Ty Harris Deserves Caitlin Clark’s Starting Spot”: Fever Fans Make Bold Suggestions After Veteran PG’s Clutch 4th Quarter Leads to Comeback Win Over Phoenix

On Thursday, the Indiana Fever found themselves in a tight battle against the Phoenix Mercury. The Fever ended up avenging a June 24 loss by making clutch plays that sealed a 92-82 victory at Mortgage Matchup Center.
Veteran Fever guard Ty Harris made one big basket after another in this road win, scoring nine of her 15 points in a tightly contested fourth quarter. Harris’ performance, which helped Indiana overcome a 10-point deficit midway through the final frame, drew rave reviews and even bold suggestions from fans online.
Harris, who is with her third WNBA team in seven seasons, has finished with double-digit scoring in three of her last four games. With Caitlin Clark missing time due to injury, Harris has helped the Fever’s cause with her typically efficient scoring.
With their win over the Mercury, the Fever matched the 13-9 record also held by the New York Liberty and the Atlanta Dream. Consistent play from Harris and the rest of the Fever’s rotation players will help the team climb further up the standings as Clark continues to heal up.
Fever HC Stephanie White Gives Props to Kelsey Mitchell After Huge Performance vs. Mercury: “Fastest Player in WNBA With the Ball in Her Hand”
Though Harris was undoubtedly clutch, it was another Fever player who topscored against Phoenix.
After the game, Fever head coach Stephanie White praised Kelsey Mitchell for her athleticism and impeccable scoring.
“She’s one of one. She’s the fastest player in the league with the ball in her hand. Her ability to get downhill is always great.”
Mitchell finished with 29 points, two rebounds, and eight assists. Even without Clark in the lineup, the Fever’s backcourt offense has more than held its own with Mitchell staying prolific.
