Every Florida baseball player and signee taken in the 2026 MLB Draft has officially signed.
The Gators had six players chosen in this year’s draft, along with one of their high school signees. UF has now produced 21 first-round picks in program history and has had at least four picks in 17 of the last 18 years.
The program has also produced at least five draft picks in each of the past four years.
Here’s a breakdown of every UF player that has signed a deal this offseason.
RHP Liam Peterson
The Gators’ top pick in the draft was the final player to agree to a deal on Friday, July 24. Peterson was taken No. 19 overall by the Cleveland Guardians. The right-hander received the full slot value of his pick of $4,530,500.
UT Kevin Roberts Jr.
The high school signee opted to sign with the Baltimore Orioles. Roberts was taken in the fourth round as the No. 110 overall pick. He reportedly signed for $1 million, well above the slot value of $711,800.
OF Kyle Jones
Center fielder Kyle Jones was taken as the 102nd overall pick in the third round by the Milwaukee Brewers. Jones signed for $650,000, which is below the slot value of $770,600.
RHP Russell Sandefer
Sandefer was selected as the 132nd overall pick in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The slot value for that pick is $575,300, but Sandefer signed for $434,000.
RHP Luke McNeillie
McNeillie was drafted as the 152nd overall pick in the fifth round by the New York Mets. The reliever signed for $472,500, which falls below the slot value of $497,500.
OF Hayden Yost
Yost was taken 162nd overall in the fifth round by the Seattle Mariners. Yost has signed for $415,000, which is below the slot value of $429,100.
OF Blake Cyr
Cyr was picked 548th overall in the 18th round by the New York Yankees. Cyr signed with the Yankees and reportedly received $150,000 signing bonus. There is no assigned slot value for picks in rounds 11 to 20.
C Karson Bowen
Bowen signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Texas Rangers. Free agent deals do not count against an organization’s signing bonus pool as long as they sign for $150,000 or less. Bowen is the first Gator to sign a UDFA deal since 2022.
